# How to join Alpres (Memberification) - Almonit is an open organization, meaning anyone can join and become a writer, participant, or investor. Any contribution to Alpress will grant members voting power in the DAO, which elects moderators and governs the Alpress protocol. - A full member, A Publisher, has 1,000 voting power. **This is the maximum amount of voting power anyone can have** - In order to reach the Publisher rank you have to complete <Number of Tasks> including a few mandatory tasks like participating in community calls, locking ALPR tokens, participating in Governance, and writing. - We are also planning on a reputation decay function, inactive members will have their voting power slashed away over time. This is to prevent old and inactive members of the organization to have large influence over it's current decision making. The implementation of the reputation decay will be decided by the community. - Who are Alpress members? *Member belong to one of two groups, contributors or users. Contributers include developers, maintainers, moderators, managers, designers, marketers or other roles. Users contain either writers or customers (people that make purchases in big amount).* *The goal is to maintain balance between the two groups, so that decisions are made in way that benefits both contributers and users.* *There is no automatic membership. Every membership needs to be approved by the existing members.* *Exceptions are allowed, i.e., members who are not contributors nor users, but the community think they deserve to be members for other reasons.* Generally anyone can become a member as long as they contribute to the community. true diversity is key. We want prolifiration of opinions, ideas, and ideaologies. We want to have an open and honest discourse about the goals, ambitions, and challenges of this platform. - We understand that once successful, the platform cannot be without censorship, as it will attract content which we do not want to see. Giving the community full power to decide on the guidelines for censorship is going to be delicate and complicated task, we must have varied and diverse opinions in order to suceed in structing this core issue. - Becoming a member -- Memberification - There are certain actions you can take in order to become a member, the more tasks you complete the higher your rank in Alpress - Categories: - Social category - Join our Telegram community - Tweet about Alpress - Create an introduction proposal in the DAO - Continuous (number of times) Participation in weekly calls - Tester category - Create an account and Publish an article - Tip an author - Contributor - Development - Pull requests - Issues - Development work - Dev meeting attendance - Marketing / Bizdev - Publish Articles about Alpress - Outreach to potential writers - Investor - Stake your ALPR tokens in the DAO - Governance - Participate in the project governance - Ranks - Character (50 Rep) - Vowel (100 Rep) - Word (150 Rep) - Space (200 Rep) - Period (300 Rep) - Sentence (400 rep) - Paragraph (500 rep) - Draft (600 rep) - Post (700 rep) - Article (800 rep) - Editor (900 rep) - Publisher (1000 rep) Comments - The goal is not to create billionaires, but to create a product owned by it's contributors, and those are the main earners from the product. - Create kind of a "state" like structure, where different groups have different powers, e.g., writers 40% of members, contributor 40%, investors 20% (problem though, it's not mutually exclusive). - how to justify investors in a post-foudnation stage? - maybe exchange "investors" with "token stakers". The goal is compensate belivers in the project. - staking as a way to accelerate membership. - fear: early investors will dump as soon as possible - problem: people will get stuck with tokens without ability to do anything with them. Staking is a solutoin for that. - Investors intermediate conclusion: *when you buy from the curve, it's 50% now - 50% in 1 year. Later we'll add a feature "buy and use", so that you use immediately all the tokens you buy now.* Staking ### What does it mean to have reputation / what can you do / what can you vote on
